Romans 8:16-17 – “…we are children of God, and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ…”
This may be the most AMAZING scripture in the entire Bible.
CHILD OF GOD -> HEIRS OF GOD -> JOINT HEIR WITH CHRIST.
What has Jesus inherited? God appointed Him heir of ALL THINGS. That’s because God owns ALL THINGS.
Psalm 24 – He is the possessor of the Earth, the world and all that is in it!
This means that when you become a child of God you become an heir of all things – RIGHT NOW!
This is a very HIGH thought! But believe the Word & reality will soon catch up.
See you in church!
Exodus 25:13 “And you shall make poles of acacia wood and overlay them with gold. You shall put the poles into rings on the sides of the ark, that the ark may be carried by them. The poles shall be in the rings of the ark; they shall not be…”
The ‘Ark’ of the Presence of God was made to be mobile. God is never represented by a monument. He is a movement! God is always moving – He is not static. Religion gets stuck in what was. We need to keep moving towards what is to come.
The nomad wondering generation possesed the promosed land. Those who could change quickly who could uproot & move on reguarly. The Presence of God is carried on the shoulders of people. When God moves through people, it’s not because of what they are doing, it’s because of who they are!
People are they policy, not a handbook! It’s not the systems, it’s the people that make church work.
See you there!
“Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light…”
The very first act of God was to bring light. THis is at the beginning of everything – We see something, we come out of hiding, covering, of being in the dark..
Preaching insight & revelation brings light. The revelation of Jesus & Jesus Himself is ‘Light”. He is the light of the world!Once we have light we can walk, move forward, see situations & others clearly.
We are called to be the light of the world, not joyless, relgionists but light bringers. Walk in the light!
See you in church!
Matt 6:14,15 “And whenver you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses. But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive trespasses.”
Not just once a day, but ‘whenever’. Meaning forgiving others needs to become a lifestyle for a follower of Christ. We would solve many seemingly comples problems with this very simple excercise – Forgive. We forgive others before they say sorry.
Let go of everything everyone has ever done to you. Let it go! Forgive them. We block our own forgiveness when we fail to forgive others. The reason we feel guilty, block off from God might be simply we are holding a grudge against someone – Forgive them. NOW.
See ya in Church!
Luke 4:13 “Now when the devil had ended every temptation, he departed from Him until an opportune time.”
There are times when we are more vulnerable to attack (temptation) than others. What made this an opportunity for the devil?
1) Jesus was tired – If we are emotionally, physically, mentally tired, we are weaker at resisting temptation
2) Jesus was alone – No one could see. No one to encourage him. No one to be accountable to. The isolated, dislocated person is easy prey for the devil.
3) He had just experienced a very intense spiritual moment – Holy Spirit as a dove coming upon him – Voice of God – Prophet John prophesying. He become a target.
Stay in Church!
Proverbs 30:28 “The spider skillfully grasps with its hands, And it is in kings’ places.”
This word is also translated “lizard”. No matter because both spiders & lizards are useful to the king because they eat bugs, mosquitoes & other annoying little things. The message is taht if we are useful to those in leadership & deal with little annoying problems really well, even if we are not that well equipped, or significant, we will find ourselves in the company of the most powerful in the land.
The basis for leadership & influence is problem solving. When we help Jesus with His vision to build His people, His church we will be in His throne room.
See you in His palace!
