John 13:3-4 Jesus, knowing that the Father had given all things into His hands, and that He had come from God and was going to God
Jesus humbles himself to wash the disciples feet, His students, as though He was their servant.
When we are insecure, we can’t humble ourselves. We try to prove who we are with self promotion etc. Jesus knew what He had, where He came from & where He was going. Having this ‘knowing’ within was the basis of His security, hence what others thought of Him, even ‘a servant,’ did not matter to Him.
It should be enough for us to know within, in the ‘secret place,’ that we have been born of God, we are going to God & that we have His authority in our hands.
