Meditation

Meditation Psalm 1:2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord, And in His law he meditates day & night.

Our love for the Bible is a clear indicator of our spiritual health. If we are sick we lose our appetite for food.  Same with our spirit.  The Bible is Jesus in written form.  He is the manna from Heaven.  To meditate is to ‘chew’ the Word one verse at a time, with our mind.  As we rethink a verse, over & over, we digest the Word into our spirit where it becomes revelation.  This is what makes us fruitful.  We become planted like a tree by the river of the Word & so bear fruit all the time.  We become influential in peoples world transforming their lives.  Healing flows from the Word within.

Beloved Son

Matt 3:17  And suddenly a voice came from heaven, saying “This is My Beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”

God publicly honored his own Son.  Fathers take note.  A son who knows he is loved is secure for his future.  A ‘last days’ sign is that fathers and sons will be united according to Malachi.  Jesus had not performed one miracle, yet his father expressed delight in Him.  As far as the Father is concerned, Jesus is the center of the universe.  We must regard Him the same of our personal universe.  The revelation of the Fathers love prepared Jesus for His future.

Eyes on the Prize!

Eyes on the Prize[1] - to post BLOGPhil 3:14 ‘I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus..’

We move towards our dominant vision.  Whatever fills our eyes, directs our feet.  There is a prize, a reward, and not just one, both in this life and the one to come.  If we keep our eyes on the prize God has for us in the future, this will change the way we live in the present.  If our lifestyle is corrupt, we disqualify ourselves from the prize of the upward call.  Paul disciplined himself so that he would ‘win the prize!’  Undisciplined lives jeopardize their call & this prize.  Everyone has a destiny.  Sadly, not all fulfill it.  Don’t let anyone else take your crown.  Fix your eyes on Jesus, the greatest prize of all.  He imparts the strength & faith to not sink in the wild seas around us.
