Proverbs 24:16 – For a righteous man may fall seven times and rise again, But the wicked shall fall by calamity.
Hang on a minute! If a person is righteous, they don’t fall, right? How can you say a person is righteous, yet has fallen seven times?
Because even though the person has failed, they get up again!!
The righteous are righteous because they recover! They know how to say ‘sorry’, how to forgive & receive forgiveness. They know how to believe again and take new steps of faith. They ‘rise again’ even after seven (many) times.
The wicked are wicked because they sulk, blame others & refuse to humble themselves & make their wrongs right.
Whatever hasn’t gone well for you in ’09, let’s get up again and rise in 2010. I know you can do it!
