Victory

Standard

James 4:7 – “Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.”

Never underestimate the power of the human will. If we don’t surrender to God, He will not force his rule over us and if we do not personally ‘resist’ (decline, not consent, disagree with) the devil, he will not flee’.

Our power over the devil is equal to our submission to God.

Satan has no power over a person surrendered to Christ. (This means ‘doing’ what God has told us to do.)

Fighting the devil without first surrendering to God won’t work.

As you start 2010, start by committing yourself and all you plan into the hands of God.

This puts you on the altar, the place of power and authority over all the works of the enemy.

Surrender to the good. Resist the bad – you’ll win!

See you in church!

It is boring to read the comment threads on this blog when everyone says “Thanks, great post!” It only gets good when there is criticism. Without criticism life becomes “The Gary Smalley Show” from SNL. “I’m good enough, I’m smart enough, and doggone it, people like me.”
