Jesus tells us it is very important that what we start, we finish.
You do not want the reputation of someone who starts things by doesn’t finish them.
Don’t start something that you can’t complete.
The moment of inspiration is not the time to start building. SIT DOWN first, get educated about the project, ascertain your resources, estimate all the costs, then multiply by at least 2 (generally a worthwhile project will take up to 10 times the money, time, energy and resources than you thought it would!)
Better to sit down first rather than half way through or at the unfinished end point.
Do you have the commitment to keep going, make the sacrifices, leave possessions, to follow Christ all the days of your life? Let’s pay the price and finish the race strong.

Great word, Thanks I needed this. This very verse has been coming to mind recently for me. Of Course I have no intention on stopping anything I am striving to acheived . It is too important to stop but knowing the cost before hand is a reminder of what I have left to do and How much more is require to keep going. Sometimes we are heading in one direction thinking it is the way to what we are doing only to find out that we need to regroup and reexamined what we are doing to get to our goal. Sorry I know I talk to much . But thanks for the word. Lynn

I appreciate what you said about not starting a project at the moment of inspiration. The feelings that come with inspiration leave quickly – but a plan, diligence, and faithfulness will last.
(I wish I could put this principle into practice when I go shopping!)
