Salvation

Standard

Romans 10:9 ‘if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart, that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.’

It would be difficult to find a more important scripture to define the ‘how’ of salvation. ‘Saved’ is not just about us receiving eternal life. It covers our life being ‘saved’ in the here & now equally as much.

The hear & the mouth need to be in unity. We create faith in our heart by what we say with our mouth. We all have faith. We activate our faith when we speak the Word of God & confess great things over our lives.

The heart is our believing machine. Our heart can only be pre-occupied with one major emotion at any given time. If our heart is full of hatred or fear or doubt, we will not be believing. When we speak faith, faith comes into our heart. When this happens salvation comes to our circumstances, family, finances… Whatever we are speaking faith about.

Go ahead believe & speak salvation is yours!

See you in Church!

  1. You are so right. It is the heart generates our faith by what it hears us speak but so many of us confuse the heart with feelings. We have wrapped our faith into an emotion. And if it were, our lives would be steadily in danger because it would be ruled by the way we feel and not the way we breathe. It takes time and maturity to realize that the Lord wants us to be saved, restored and healthy now and not only when we get to heaven. It is a wonderful thing knowing that we are saved and going to heaven but it is another thing to live that salvation out totally while walking on earth.

Thank you once again for an inspiring word that forces me to examine where I am and do something about it.
