Anger Management

Standard

So then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath; for the wrath of man does not produce the righteousness of God.” James 1:19-20

We are taught & tested by educators on just about everything in life except relationships which is what most of our life is about, marriage, family, friends, work collegues….

We need to heed the Bibles training on relationships. Here are 3 basics

1) Don’t be quick to speak, think before you speak.

2) Listen, listen, listen – Everyone appreciates being listened to.

3) Don’t have a quick temper. This is the fastest way to lose a relationship. Have a long fuse. Be long-suffering.

It’s easy to think that getting angry with someone will change them & fix the situation. But generally, it only gives vent to your heated emotions. Get to situations before it gets to you!

See you in Church!

This is truth for everday living. From the moment we wake to the moment we sleep, there are people around us that we relate to, and likewise they to us. By applying these truths, we allow us to take responsibility over our emotions, and decide on the best course of action. Even if it’s simply words of encouragement for things beyound our control.

How? It goes on to read: ‘therefore get rid of all moral filth and the evil that is so prevalent and humbly accept the word planted in u which can save you’

I find it impossible to use will power to ‘zip the lip’ and my natural instinct is to speak before I think. The only way to succeed is to renew my mind with gods word – read it – meditate it – feast on it – this shuts out the worlds voice and I hear Gods voice. then GOd helps me shut up and walk in love. God is awesome!

  3. God really speaks through you. Every time you preach or blog something I’m often amazed at how precisely timely it is and that it’s just what is needed, and it might be a different takeaway point for each of us. I can’t afford to not be tuned in to hearing Him even for a moment. Thank you so much.
