Perspective

Standard

Acts 28:3 But when Paul had gathered a bundle of sticks and laid them on the fire, a viper came out because of the heat, and fastened on his hand.

Paul has gone from one major problem to another, all of them threatening death. He escaped the storm only to be shipwrecked. He escaped that only to be bitten by a poisonous snake.

However, Paul believed God in every problem. He knew the problem was an opportunity.

The locals believed the snake would kill him. But Paul SHOOK IT OFF! He doesn’t die, so the locals now change their perspective because Paul’s perspective of a problem was positive. They say “He’s a god!”

This problem is the beginning of a major revival that sweeps the Island of Malta.

Life can seem like a series of problems but they are all just opportunities if we will change our perspective.

See you in church!

Loved hearing this message in church last night – haven’t stopped thinking about it and meditating on it. One of the fundamental keys we need to live our Christian life successfully… My daughter Brooklyn (4) asked me what we learnt in ‘Big Church’ last night…. in simple terms I explained that when trouble comes we can either cry about it in a corner or … and she finished off the sentence for me… “Mummy, or you can know that God is with you and He will never leave you and He will always make everything OK if you just smile and remember about Him”…. Oh, how I love brining my children up in the fear and admonition of the Lord!
