2 Sam 9:1 ‘Now David said, “Is there still anyone who is left of the house of Saul, that I may show him kindness for Jonathan’s sake?”

David searches for ANYONE of his former enemy’s house, so he can bless him, not kill him to remove any further threat or to take revenge!

Love searches for people to bless! What are we searching for? For ourselves? For self centred goals, or to bring blessing to others.

Saul tried to kill David time and again, and hunted him down, making him a fugitive and now David intends to shower generous love over his relatives.

We discover our purpose in this life when we determine to help and bless other people.

Because we are ‘IN CHRIST’ we will be favored by God. It is because of Him that we are accepted blessed and highly favored!

Get Bigger

Isa 54:2 Enlarge the place of your tent

Leaders should be always enlarging otherwise we have simply become managers, who maintain what is.

We get bigger by stepping out and attempting things that make us nervous.

We enlarge ourselves by becoming bigger givers!

All Christians should be big people – the biggest people on Earth.

Big people forgive easily, overlook faults, are generous with everything they have, laugh at impossible situations, are merciful not judgemental, not petty and finger-pointing.

We are here to bless this world not judge it.

Blessed, not cursed

Eph 1:3-4 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ

This is the grace (unmerited favor) of God – if you are in Christ, you have fulfilled ALL God’s requirements to bless you.

In the Old Testament you had to keep all the law to qualify for blessing, but in the NT the plan is when you receive Christ all God’s requirements are satisfied!!!

God has already blessed you. Believe this and you’ll walk into it!

Every blessing God has available is yours, in Christ. Nothing can curse what God has blessed.

Nothing can curse what God has blessed.

Blessing will overcome cursing everytime. Even when people try to curse you, God will turn it into a blessing.

There is no curse that will succeed against a child of God, someone IN CHRIST!
