When the devil attacks

Luke 4:13 “Now when the devil had ended every temptation, he departed from Him until an opportune time.”

There are times when we are more vulnerable to attack (temptation) than others. What made this an opportunity for the devil?

1) Jesus was tired – If we are emotionally, physically, mentally tired, we are weaker at resisting temptation

2) Jesus was alone – No one could see. No one to encourage him. No one to be accountable to. The isolated, dislocated person is easy prey for the devil.

3) He had just experienced a very intense spiritual moment – Holy Spirit as a dove coming upon him – Voice of God – Prophet John prophesying. He become a target.
